Cute Pictures

So, many of you may be wondering how things are going with the pregnancy.
Well, I'm still prego.

On Father's day, my son and I decided to take some funny pictures.
When I was pregnant with him, I put some items (plate, cup, remote) on my tummy.
The goal was to see how much I could fit on there before I gave birth.
He thought those were funny, so we decided to do the same thing with this with this pregnancy.
My son picked out the items to put on my tummy.

So, we took this picture, and my son got a great idea.

He ran into his bedroom and got his "baby" Sarah.
Put it under his shirt so he could have some funny pictures like mom with her baby.
Thankfully, the baby in my tummy is not breech,
nor is it sticking out of me,
nor is it higher than my chest.
But, the whole thought of this picture sure makes me smile.

A new one.....

So, my son did something that surprised my husband and I today.

This afternoon, around 4 pm, I was sitting upstairs and my son was on the couch holding his play phone to his ear and having a "conversation". When he was done talking, my son turns to me and says," Mom. Grandpa D is taking me camping. He will be here in 15 minutes."

So, playing along with him, I say, "ok. That sounds fun."

My son, turns back to his play phone and proceeds to call 2 friends, his friend T and ZT. Each time, hanging up the phone and telling me that Grandpa is coming to take him camping in 15 minutes and his friends are coming too.

For the next 2 hours, he would bring it up to my husband and I, and we "played along" with his imagination. After supper, he was really messy with fried chicken and we decided a bath was the thing to do right away. My son was getting ready for bath and came into the kitchen and asked for help getting his clothes. I looked in his hands and he had his pjs, underwear, and his slippers. I ask him what else he needs. He looks right at me and says, "clothes for later". Confused, my husband asks him what for. With the most innocent look on his face, he says, "camping with Grandpa."

Now, we understand that his imagination started to bring these thoughts into his reality. Carefully, we explain to him that Grandpa isn't coming to take him camping and that he had to work tomorrow. That Grandpa loves him very much, but he was just pretending earlier about the camping and it wouldn't be a good night to go out to a campsite. After a few minutes of tears, my son managed to climb into the bathtub and take his bath.

Imagination is good. Sorry kiddo for the confusion. Don't mean to spoil your fun. Keep that imagination going!

Reflections

It's hard to believe that 5 years ago, I had my son.
He is full of energy, excitement, and brings so much joy to our lives.
My husband and I are so thrilled he came when he did.
He added so much.
It's hard to believe that we are on the verge of having another one.
I was thinking about what the next one will look like.
Will the next one look like the big brother?
Lots of hair, darker skin, cute as a button?

Only time will tell....
but looking back at pictures of the big brother,
it's hard to believe how quickly
and how much has changed since our first child's birth.

News

So, we had a bid accepted on a home in WF. And if all goes well, we will be closing mid-July. We are pretty excited and thought we could share some pictures of the new place.

Not all the pictures turned out. I put up what I thought looked the best.

Front of house

French doors through the front porch

Stairs right through the french doors

Some cool built ins

Living Room
Dining Room (doorway enters into kitchen)
(downstairs bedroom doorway on the right)
kitchen #1

Other side of kitchen

Kitchen...to the right of the picture above.
Bathroom, right off the kitchen. Yes, that is just a bathtub.
We will do a bit of remodeling of this room shortly.
Back of the house. Garage and our new patio area. =)
Back Yard (bus garage is big building behind)
What you didn't see, 2 bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs, and a fairly large basement too (yes unfinished).

We are pretty excited and looking forward to the move and changes ahead.

Now we need to sell our current house. Anyone need to buy a house?
